# LINA — Five expanded, stylized house designs

The request is to increase the actual floor area of the house and explore more distinctive stylized architecture with exaggerated roofs and bent lines.

## Shared design target

Approximately 190–200 m² total over two living floors, with wider/deeper floor plates or substantial additional wings. The images are visual massing studies; dimensions are not measured or certified.

Keep the blue timber and ochre door identity, generous rear garden, forest set back behind the property, mild winter with patchy snow, dry paths and lane, warm late-afternoon sun and amber windows. Push the architecture toward expressive 3D animated-film shapes, controlled asymmetry and handmade details.

## Five planned directions

### 01. Sweeping Roof

A broad three-bay blue house with a visibly deep rectangular two-storey body. An oversized asymmetric red-tiled roof has a beautiful continuous concave swoop: a proud off-centre ridge sweeps toward a lower porch-side eave, rising very subtly at the tips. The sweeping roof is one bold coherent sculptural shape. Both floors have clear usable windows, including three upper window bays using expressive dormers where needed. Chunky curved cream eave boards, a small gently curved porch canopy, a wide comfortably grounded facade and deeper side wall make the increased footprint unmistakable. Keep roof overhangs elegant rather than huge unsupported fantasy cantilevers.

### 02. Twin-Gable Atelier

An unmistakable L-shaped home made from TWO connected full TWO-STOREY wings of unequal width, together about 190–200m2. Two distinct blue front-facing gables create a paired silhouette, roof ridges different in height and their white bargeboards subtly curved inward as if leaning toward each other. Main family wing wider, second creative studio wing narrower but substantial. A sheltered ochre entrance sits in the joint between them. Large ground-floor studio window with warm worktable light in the second wing; ordinary upstairs domestic windows make the extra living area visible. Red clay roof tiles, asymmetric paired roof peaks, curving chunky trims, a welcoming partly enclosed front garden nook. Not detached houses and not a mirrored symmetrical duplex.

### 03. Bowed Timber House

A broad deep rectangular blue home with THREE clearly readable window bays on each floor and a visible deep side facade, about 190–200m2. Create a distinctive softly bowed roof ridge and gently convex roof planes, with charcoal-purple shingles rather than red tiles. Roof edges flow like bent wood with shallow upward-curved tips. Wall corners are softly rounded, siding courses have subtle hand-hewn curves, the walls flare outward slightly toward the grounded base, and window surrounds are thick curved cream wood, without structural damage or a melting look. A modest wide curved entry porch and ochre door. Bold clean silhouette, cheerful gently wonky artisan design, very clearly stylized 3D comic architecture.

### 04. Soft Mansard House

A distinctly broad blue family house with a full-width ground floor and a spacious second floor contained in an OVERSIZED tall double-pitched MANSARD roof, about 190–200m2 total. The roof has soft convex lower slopes, small curled eave tips and a restrained red-violet tile palette. THREE large expressive round-shouldered dormers spaced across the broad front bring light into the usable upper floor; side dormers establish the house's depth. Only two living floors, no windows or third storey above the dormers. Tall roof volume is the iconic recognizable feature, like a cozy gently bent hat, not a normal triangular gable. White sculpted trim, blue siding, ochre door under a small curved canopy, understated star and botanical craft details. Keep it charming and family-scale, not aristocratic or palatial.

### 05. Off-Centre Storybook House

A wider two-storey blue home with a substantial projecting TWO-STOREY side wing, together about 190–200m2. A steep red-tiled main gable has a dramatically OFF-CENTRE apex and unequal gently bent slopes; the connected side wing is lower with its own sloping roof, giving a lively stepped asymmetrical silhouette. The projection adds actual full-size rooms and multiple additional windows, not a decorative bump. One softly rounded ground-floor bay window catches the warm light, with an ordinary upper window above. A small cream-and-timber entrance canopy bends fluidly around the corner toward the ochre door, with leaf-like curved braces. Chunky cream bargeboards, controlled tilted trim accents and generous curved roof corners make an original handcrafted storybook design. Do not repeat two equal gables or use a tower.
